Tiger and Submerge hosted a night of complete house music mayhem on Friday, April 10 at Manre. The night revolved around the sensational Brazilian DJ Bruno who, accompanied by Nikhil Chinappa on the spin table, took Delhi by storm with the best of global dance grooves, tech, funky and tribal house! The ‘Tiger-Submerge’ evening saw a house full of electronic music aficionados grooving to exceptional tracks while sipping on their favourite party drink – Tiger!

Here’s a guy who takes his funky house and getting anyone to groove anyplace very seriously. All the way from Rio de Janeiro, he rocks the world from Sao Paulo to Tokyo with his tribal techno and funky house vibes. Touring everywhere from Athens to India in the last one year he’s here and he’s getting Indian audiences to have a fantastic Tiger time.

This VJ has given into music bug and has been an enigma on the scene since the early 90s. Chilling on the beaches of Ibiza can be good for you. Well, it got Chinappa listening to UK house and techno and gave India one of it’s premier DJs. His style of playing crowd friendly funky house, with percussive tribal overtones, ensured a steady stream of gigs. DJ Nikhil moved easily from playing bars filled with 150 people to opening sets for the multi-city Smirnoff Experience parties in India, playing to crowds of 5000 clubbers. His sets combine a balanced blend of fresh tunes from dance-floors around the world, and the occasional crowd-pleasing floor filler.

In 2003, he, along with DJ Pearl founded SUBMERGE, an underground movement of Indian DJs promoting house. A runaway success, Submerge currently runs regular nights all across India and is expanding its reach on a monthly basis.
