The Handshake Concert is a diplomacy music event. Its main objective is to celebrate friendship and culture of the country & to inspire musicians to look beyond the present musoc scene of the country.

The Handshake Concert is a diplomacy music event. Its main objective is to celebrate friendship and culture of the country. Another chief aim is to inspire musicians to look beyond the present music scene of the country and aspire to achieve the highest recognitions in the held, like the Grammy’s and become true ambassadors for the arts of the nation.

World Music Day which is celebrated annually on June 21, is a global movement to recognize and celebrate Folk and Fusion music and other contemporary forms of music. And it is our conviction that such platforms will not only promote music but built friendships and understanding among musicians from various parts of the country.With this in mind, the society plans to organize the next Handshake Concert in NewDelhi in 2010, at The Habitat World - India Habitat Centre. The Handshake Concert is being organized by The Rattle & Hum Music Society in partnership with the Nagaland University.
