David Villa - Spain

David Villa, famously nicknamed El Guaje (The Kid in Asturian) is one amongst the famous Spanish footballers & currently plays as a striker for his country as well as Barcelona. Villa made his international debut in 2005 against San Marino & till date has  participated in three major tournaments: 2006 World Cup, Euro 2008 & is already in the highlight for 2010 World Cup. He scored three goals at the 2006 World Cup and was top scorer at Euro 2008 with four goals. He is the second top scorer of all time for Spain behind only Raul González. Lionel Messi - Argentina

Lionel Andrés Messi is an Argentine footballer who currently plays for Barcelona and the Argentine national team. He is considered as one of the best football players of his generation and frequently cited as the world's best contemporary player. Messi received several Ballon d'Or and FIFA World Player of the Year nominations by the age of 21 and won both by the age of 22. His playing style and ability have drawn comparisons to Diego Maradona, who himself declared Messi his "successor. He has earned accolades for his club(Barcelona) & now is the time to prove his mettle on the biggest platform in the soccer world - The FIFA World Cup'10.

Wayne Rooney - England

Wayne Mark Rooney is an English footballer who plays as a striker for English Premier League club Manchester United and the England national team. Aged 10, Rooney joined the youth team of Everton, making his professional debut in 2002. He spent two seasons at the Merseyside club, before moving to Manchester United for £25.6 million in the 2004 summer transfer window. Since then, he has won the Premier League three times, the 2007–08 UEFA Champions League and also two League Cups. Rooney made his England debut in 2003 and, at UEFA Euro 2004, he briefly became the competition's youngest goalscorer. He is frequently selected for the England squad and also featured at the 2006 FIFA World Cup. He has constantly been in the highlight for his rude behaviour & aggression but englishmen hope that his dissipating energy transforms into something constructive for the game which would enable England to travel as far as possible in the World Cup'10 safari.

Cristiano Ronaldo - Portugal

Cristiano Ronaldo dos Santos Aveiro, commonly known as Cristiano Ronaldo, is a Portuguese footballer who plays as a forward for Spanish club Real Madrid and serves as captain of the Portuguese national team. Ronaldo currently holds the distinction of being the most expensive player in football history after being transferred from Manchester United to Real Madrid in a transfer deal worth £80 million (€94m, US$132m). In addition, his contract with Real Madrid, in which he is to be paid £11 million per year over the following six years, makes him the highest paid football player in the world. Ronaldo is known for his tricks and has won several games for his club as well as his country. Hope he carries his form into the FIFA world up'10 as well.

Kaka- Brasil

Ricardo Izecson dos Santos Leite, commonly known as Kaká, is a Brazilian football midfielder who currently plays for Real Madrid and the Brazilian national team. He started his footballing career at the age of eight, when he began playing for a local club. By then, he also played tennis,and it was not until he moved on to São Paulo FC and signed his first professional contract with the club at the age of fifteen that he chose to focus on football. In 2003 he joined A.C. Milan for a fee of €8.5 million. While at Milan, Kaká won the Ballon d'Or and FIFA World Player of the Year awards in 2007. Didier Drogba - Ivory Coast

Didier Yves Drogba Tébily is an Ivorian professional footballer who plays in the centre forward position. He currently plays for Chelsea in the Premier League and is the captain and all-time top scorer of the Côte d'Ivoire national football team. He has scored more goals for Chelsea than any other foreign player and is currently Chelsea's 7th highest goal scorer of all time. Though he has came into this World Cup'10 with an injury on the left arm but his opponents know that when he gets going only a few in the soccer arena can stop him.

Lukas Podolski - Germany

Lukas Podolski is a Polish-born naturalized German footballer who plays as a striker for Köln and for the German national team. He joined 1. FC Köln in 1995 where he broke into the first team in 2003 and made 81 appearances for the club before moving to Bayern Munich. After three years in Munich with mixed success, Podolski returned to Köln. Although he was eligible to play for Germany and Poland, Podolski chose to play for Germany. He was first capped in 2004 and has been part of the squad in all major tournaments since then.
In the absense of Michael Ballack, Podolski has to play a major role along with his team mates if Germany wants to leave a mark in World Cup'10.
