Michael Jackson aka Michael Joseph Jackson was born  in Gary, Indiana on 29th. August,1958. He was a through entertainer,a recording artist & philanthropist. Michael was 7th. of the nine children born to his parents & Michael along with his siblings had a tough time in their early days.Michael was deprived even of the essential childhood requisites & his father even used to beat him up when he demanded for candies & sweets. Michael was though a calm character since his childhood & fighting against the odds Michael began his musical career at the age of 5 as the lead singer of the 'Jackson 5' which was a musical group formed by Michael & his siblings in 1964. In these early years the 'Jackson 5', Jackie, Jermaine, Tito, Marlon and lead singer Michael used to play at various clubs & bars and in this way they brought out their creative side along with earning a modest livelihood for themselves.Subsequently moving up the ladder 'Jackson5' participated and won several music competetions as well. Michael was a cute youngster with a groovy afro and soulful voice which resulted in a huge fan follwing within no time and soon outgrew the band.

In 1968 the Bobby Taylor and The Vancouvers discovered the 'Jackson 5' and from there they got an audition for Berry Gordy of Motown Records. The 'Jackson 5' signed for Motown and moved to California. Their first 4 singles, "I Want You Back", "ABC", "The Love You Save", and "I'll Be There"  all made US No.1 hits. The 'Jackson 5' recorded 14 albums and Michael recorded 4 solo albums with Motown & went on & on from there onwards.
