The horror thriller genre in Bollywood has seen a sea change in recent years, when compared to the trash that was mostly dished out by a group of brothers till almost a decade back. Slick production values and the advent of new age directors have made sure that this genre solicit anticipation. As with any thriller, the music does play a vital part in building up the overall feel, and its nice to note that the theme track sounds quite fitting for generating that edge of the seat tension in multiplex surround sound. The rest of the album is decent sounding, though with a trio, who rule the roost as far as Bollywood is concerned, this may not really go down as a very memorable piece of work. Chitra does force your attention with her glistening vocals on “Aasma Odh Kar”, as does Kartik on “Bade Se Shehar Main”, both of which are soft paced, hummable under the breath songs. Baba Sehgal teams up with leggie hottie Anushka Manchanda on “Oh Sexy Mama”, which just fails to make any impact whatsoever.
